The work
In this role, you will join Media Essentials team (codename Ether). Your mission will be to build the infrastructure for our world-class rich media solutions that power deep interactions for Glia's customers. You will be a force multiplier whose work directly impacts the successful execution of our very ambitions Voice+AI roadmap and specifically the infrastructure that powers it.
The team's setup
While you will enjoy a role with processes optimized for hybrid or remote work, we deeply value in-person connection. For our colleagues based in Estonia, we highly prefer if you would work from the office more often than not.
We also bring our engineering teams with remote members together at least twice a year to collaborate, innovate, and build relationships. You should be able to travel for these company gatherings, which may also include the final stages of the interview process.
Our team is distributed across Estonia (Tartu, Tallinn), Portugal and Spain operating in the Eastern European time zone (EET/EEST).

Candidate requirements
You are driven, self-motivated, want to take ownership, and get things done well. You are passionate about mastering your craft. You are a life-long learner, curious, and not afraid to ask questions and challenge others as you do yourself. We generally look for the following qualifications:
- Experience: You have a combined 5+ years of software- and infrastructure engineering experience
- Leadership & Ownership: You have a proven track record of leading technical projects and taking ownership of their outcomes
- Technical Foundations: You possess a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and infrastructure best practices
- Cloud Proficiency and IAC: You are experienced with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS with a working knowledge of Terraform
- Networking: You excel at networking and know your way around low-level networking topics
- Containers: You have a deep working knowledge of Kubernetes
- Operating systems: You are comfortable and knowledgeable with Linux-based systems
- You have Experience with either Go or Python
- You are familiar with event-driven architecture and have experience working with Kafka or RabbitMQ
- You have knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies like OAuth, OIDC, or SAML
- You leverage AI development tools like Claude Code in a deliberate and effective way, while also understanding their limitations and maintaining accountability for your work
