Role Description

This position is for an R&D Firmware engineer based in Maia. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for electric vehicle charging systems and related hardware. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in hardware, software, and product development to ensure robust, efficient, and standards-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Strong experience in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with Linux OS, scripting (e.g., Bash), and embedded build systems.
• Knowledge of EVSE charging protocols and standards (ISO 15118, DIN 70121, OCPP).
• Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors.
• Understanding of digital electronics and ability to perform hardware-level diagnostics.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to travel when necessary.
