We are looking for a Solutions Architect with strong experience to drive mobile app development, including the modernisation of enterprise mobile applications, enhancement of mobile user experiences, and integration of modern personalisation technologies into mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing scalable mobile solutions, aligning with web applications, optimising performance across iOS and Android platforms, and ensuring seamless integration with cloud-based backend systems. Familiarity with agile methodologies, secure mobile development practices, and a product-centric approach to solution delivery will be highly valued.

Please note the successful candidate is expected to work from our customer's Dublin office at least once per week.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

• Translation of business needs into scalable designs with clear and definable technology requirements using the most appropriate technology
• Supporting technical architects, developers, and other departments in cross-functional delivery teams
• Communicate your vision and designs to all stakeholders and achieve consensus on direction
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Aer Lingus and with external partners to ensure the delivery of best-practice solutions
• Analyse problems and structure solutions for complex technology implementations.
• Work across a wide range of solutions including off the shelf applications, existing airline systems, integration platforms, data management and reporting, web & mobile technologies and others.
• Contribute to IT strategy, architecture management, governance, standards, technology evaluations and will be instrumental in guiding our technology goals.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architecture whenm required.
• Lead Responsive Frontend architecture, integration, and tuning for mobile/cellular subsystems across multiple mobility platforms

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of work experience in multiple technology disciplines, with a strong focus on front-end technologies for web and mobile applications; required.
• Proven experience in a solution architect role working closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Business SME’s, Delivery and Portfolio managers and Engineering teams.
• Previous experience as a developer or lead developer or a software architect in a large-scale software development project
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent formal training
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of mobile applications for at least iDevice and Android environments to discover security issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to understand and present complex, technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Solid understanding and 5+ years of experience in Information Security, incident handling methodology, host/networking hardening, security analysis and monitoring, threat modelling, code review, penetration testing and secure development lifecycle
• Must be an expert in mobile application development
• Thorough understanding of wireless mobile platform products
• Including expertise in API, Backend For Frontend (BFF) and domain-driven design principles for web and mobile development
• Expertise in building large enterprise front-end applications for both web and mobile leveraging digital asset management, content management, personalisation engines, marketing campaign management, user identity tracking and insights
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
• Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, agile environment
• Strong evaluative and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Desirable Skills:

• Experience or knowledge of cloud-based technologies, in particular AWS tailored to web and mobile solutions
• Experience with applying architecture in an agile/product-centric environment
• Knowledge of high-volume e-Commerce/retail and Services architectures related to web and mobile applications
• Previous experience with Domain Driven Design architecture an advantage
• Knowledge of airline systems such as such as Passenger Sales and Service(PSS), reservations systems
