Role Overview
As a Level II NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections — primarily radiographic, but also visual or other relevant methods — with a strong focus on detecting and assessing corrosion under insulation (CUI). The role requires technical knowledge, procedural discipline, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections using OpenVision RTR and other NDT methods as applicable
- Conduct CUI evaluations and apply understanding of materials and corrosion mechanisms
- Follow defined testing procedures and relevant standards to ensure consistent, high-quality results
- Interpret inspection data and provide clear, well-documented reports
- Communicate findings effectively with engineers, supervisors, and clients
- Ensure proper calibration, handling, and maintenance of equipment
- Mentor and oversee NDT Level I personnel during field operations
- Comply with all radiation safety procedures, including boundary control and exposure tracking
- Carry out inspections in high-risk areas in accordance with safety protocols
- Valid Level II certification in accordance with EN ISO 9712 (NORDTEST) or PCN — preferably RT2 or VT2
- Valid Norwegian Radiation Protection or UK Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification
- Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, spoken and written
- NS 415 certification
- IRATA Rope Access certification
- Experience working in a process plant or similar industrial environment
- Additional NDT methods or qualifications will be considered
