We are in search of a skilled Senior Python AI Engineer to design and develop an advanced intelligent research agent and accompanying platform, leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to optimize data analysis, retrieval, and summarization. The solution will include seamless integration with conversational AI models using Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize a Python-based AI agent with capabilities for constructing complex search payloads
• Build a robust MCP server wrapper to integrate the AI agent with conversational AI systems
• Create and refine custom retrievers and scrapers for efficient data ingestion and validation
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth API integration and adherence to business logic
• Design and manage agent workflows using tools like LangGraph and StateGraph
• Implement and customize ReAct agents for specific research and analytical insights
• Use async Python techniques such as parallel agent execution and async/await patterns to enhance performance
• Build and expose agent tools and orchestration endpoints using FastAPI or FastMCP
• Integrate with LLM providers, ensuring the effective use of AI frameworks and APIs
• Develop RESTful API endpoints with dependency management for platform scalability and reliability
• Leverage WebSocket streaming for real-time agent functionality and customization
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, support debugging efforts, and drive iterative improvements

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working with generative AI frameworks, agent architectures (e.g., LangChain, ReAct agents), and API integration
• Advanced Python programming skills, including OOP principles, async programming, decorators, and dependency injection
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Proven competence in infrastructure tools and services like AWS (EC2, EKS, Route53, S3, IAM, VPC) or similar platforms
• Proficiency with DevOps practices, including GitLab CI/CD, pipeline creation, and managing secrets and environment variables
• Experience with testing and debugging tools, including Pytest, unit/integration testing, logging, and monitoring techniques
• Familiarity with secure handling of API keys, secrets, and SSL/TLS certificate management
• Ability to work with configuration files in JSON and YAML formats for validation and system customization
• Understanding of frontend development for API integration, with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills as needed
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating in agile team environments
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, FastAPI, and FastMCP
• Familiarity with GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows
• Proficiency in Helm for Kubernetes deployment and management
• Knowledge of JSON and YAML for configuration and workflow orchestration
• Experience working with Visual Studio Code as the primary development environment
