We're currently looking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in designing and building data solutions that meet our clients' dynamic data needs. You will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of data architectures, supporting data quality and governance practices, fostering best practices in data engineering, and collaborating with other engineers. You apply your bright ideas, and together with an experienced team of over 800 brilliant people, you create value-driven custom solutions.
Your daily tasks will include
- Designing and implement data pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Monitoring and optimizing data pipeline performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure seamless data flow
- Assisting in designing and developing enterprise-level data architectures to create scalable and efficient data processing pipelines
- Contributing to the creation of technical roadmaps and data strategies that drive data initiatives
- Exploring and evaluating new data technologies and methodologies, developing proof-of-concepts to validate their applicability
- Collaborating with senior engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to learn data engineering practices, understand data needs, and develop effective solutions
The following will make you succeed in this role
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer with an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Expertise with: ETL/ELT Tooling, Data Modelling, Data Catalogs, Data Governance
- Hands-on experience with: Python, SQL, Java, Scala and/or Rust as well as Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, dbt, Infrastructure as Code, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Fluency in German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities within the DACH region
Austria: The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is 53.802 euros/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
