The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Channel Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead partner engagement and growth initiatives across our ICT channel portfolio of products. This role is pivotal in expanding market reach, accelerating revenue growth, and ensuring alignment between Delta’s objectives and partner capabilities.
You’ll work directly with our distributors, resellers and partners to create and execute smart, compelling sales and promotional campaigns to drive growth. You will be supported with technical and operational functions, allowing you to focus more on direct customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Data Centre Segment (DCS) Sales Manager in Sydney, you will be responsible for:
1. Channel Strategy & Expansion
a. Development of new business opportunities aligned with business objectives.
b. Identify and onboard new partners across key markets.
c. Evaluate partner capabilities and ensure alignment with product and market needs.
d. Work closely with the Channel Marketing Manager and Product Manager to develop, coordinate and execute marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
2. Partner Enablement & Support
a. Become the face of Delta to our ICT partner network.
b. Deliver sales and marketing support to partners.
c. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product, operations, etc) to ensure partner success.
d. Lead joint go-to-market initiatives and promotional campaigns with our valued partners.
3. Performance Management
a. Monitor partner KPIs (revenue, pipeline, conversion rates).
b. Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) and implement improvement plans.
c. Resolve channel conflicts and ensure compliance with pricing and commercial policies.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
a. Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market shifts.
b. Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on partner and customer insights.
c. Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
Qualifications
Education:
- University Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (Desired)
- Additional qualifications in marketing and business are preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Job Experience:
Required:
- 2-5 years in marketing or sales.
- Experience with sales of ICT equipment will be advantageous.
- Experience in the ICT distribution ecosystem will be advantageous.
Technical/ Professional skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and channel incentive programs.
- Some travel is required in ANZ region for customer engagement (~10-20%).
- Understanding of tiered partnership and incentive programs.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and channel incentive programs.
- (Preferable) In-depth knowledge of the ICT industry and ecosystem.
