What will you be working on as the Junior DevOps Engineer?
In DevOps, we develop robust and scalable infrastructure across multiple AWS regions and are responsible for supporting multiple Dev & QE teams. We work closely with InfoSec to adhere to best security practices.
- Build & Deploy AWS resources using CloudFormation templates & CI/CD pipelines. Including but not limited to:
- Compute (ECS, EC2)
- Storage (S3)
- Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
- Pipelines (Codepipeline)
- Networking (VPC, Security Groups, AWS WAF)
- Atlassian Product Suite (JIRA, Bitbucket OpsGenie)
- CrowdStrike Security
- Snyk Code Scanning
- Utilising Monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure system health and rapid issue resolution.
- Out Of Hours On-Call rostering (Weekly Rotation)
Requirements
What experience do you need as a Junior DevOps Engineer ?
- Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Basic proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell)
- Basic understanding of DB management is desireable
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge in using distributed source and version control tools
- Some experience is necessary on cloud platforms
- Work history in a technical role such as:
- Platform Engineer
- Support Engineer
- IT
- DBA
