Whether it’s a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, or grabbing some groceries, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.
About The Role
In this role, you will join the Customer Data Products & Insights (CDPI) team, which powers all customer-related data across Just Eat Takeaway. We work at the intersection of data, marketing, and product, partnering closely with CRM, Product, and Analytics teams to deliver trusted customer insights and activation capabilities.
As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll help us lead with data by analysing key datasets, building reporting layers, and supporting our transition from Tableau to Looker. You’ll contribute to Data Ignite, a cross-functional initiative that connects our Customer Data Platform to activation tools such as Hightouch, enabling timely and relevant customer experiences. This is a role where you will learn rapidly, collaborate widely, and help deliver high-quality data that fuels personalisation for millions of customers. You’ll be part of a team that cares deeply about data quality, customer value, and working together to drive impact.
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Produce accurate insights and dashboards on customer behaviour, segmentation, and engagement to support CDP analytics
- Assist in building semantic layers and KPI definitions during the Tableau-to-Looker transition to ensure consistent reporting
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Analysts to validate pipelines and maintain high-quality customer attributes and metrics
- Prepare and optimise datasets for Data Ignite to enable activation through Hightouch across marketing and product use cases
- Run regular data quality checks, investigate anomalies, and contribute to improving documentation and governance standards
- Partner with CRM and Product stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards or SQL outputs
- Support ad hoc analyses on retention, reactivation, segmentation, or campaign performance to guide decision-making
- Participate in team ceremonies and maintain structured Jira updates to help the team deliver efficiently
- A curious, growth-oriented mindset and the ability to write clear, efficient SQL while exploring new ways to solve data challenges
- Experience using visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) to communicate insights that support smarter customer decisions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality, ensuring our customer data products remain trustworthy and impactful.
- Clear communication skills and the motivation to collaborate openly across teams, helping others succeed along the way
- Interest in customer, marketing, or engagement data and a desire to understand how it powers personalisation at scale
- Openness to learning modern data stack tools such as Python, dbt, or Airflow, supported by a team invested in your development
- Willingness to explore activation tools like Hightouch or Braze and understand how trusted data fuels customer experiences
- A responsible, self-driven working style that aligns with our flexible and hybrid culture while staying committed to delivery
- Ability to stay focused on goals, aim high, and bring a positive, solution-oriented approach to everyday challenges
- A collaborative spirit, ready to learn from senior colleagues and contribute to a supportive, high-performing environment
