Role Description :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Android Developer (10+ years) to join our engineering team for the App Sparkle project. This role requires a top-tier mobile engineer who can contribute immediately, work independently, and deliver high-quality Android solutions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance Android applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, enhancement, and deployment of advanced Android applications.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and IoT teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Integrate Android applications with REST APIs, cloud services, and IoT-driven features.
- Own end-to-end delivery, from architecture to coding, testing, debugging, and optimization.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and responsiveness at scale.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers if needed.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide quick resolutions.
Required Skills and experience
- 10+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin (primary) and Java (secondary).
- Strong experience with:
- Android Studio
- Jetpack Components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation)
- MVVM / MVP / Clean Architecture patterns
- Coroutines, Flows
- Deep experience integrating with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries (Retrofit, OkHttp, Dagger/Hilt).
- Strong background in UI/UX implementation, custom views, animations, and modern Material Design guidelines.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Solid understanding of performance tuning, memory optimization, and debugging at scale.
- Experience with apps involving IoT, Bluetooth, real-time sync, or hardware interaction is a strong plus.
- Must be able to start quickly and take ownership from day one.
