HR Assistant - London (Hybrid- 2 days In Office) - Permanent
Are you an organised, people-focused HR professional looking to grow your career in a purpose-led organisation? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven HR Assistant to join a team playing a vital role in supporting the UK’s transition to a smarter, low-carbon energy future.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full HR lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to training, development, reporting and day-to-day employee support.
About the Role
As the HR Assistant, you will support the HR Manager and wider business by:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinating end-to-end recruitment, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews and managing candidate communication
- Completing all pre-employment checks (right to work, DBS, references)
- Delivering HR inductions and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
- Supporting probation processes and ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
Training & Development
- Maintaining training plans, logs and trackers
- Coordinating internal and external training programmes
- Assisting with the analysis of learning needs via PDRs and skills matrices
HR Data, Systems & Reporting
- Producing HR metrics (headcount, absence, turnover)
- Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting HR system improvements
- Ensuring compliance with data management standards and regulatory requirements
General HR Administration
- Supporting monthly payroll processes
- Providing first-line advice on HR policies and procedures
- Taking minutes and providing admin support at formal meetings
- Assisting with performance review cycles and annual leave processes
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- CIPD Level 3 or a degree in HR/Business
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar HR/admin role
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
