ML Engineer (Python / Backend / MLOps)

We’re looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join a fast-growing product company in the conversational technology space. The organisation has scaled to 50+ employees and builds machine-learning-driven services used across multiple industries. They operate in a modern engineering environment and value practical problem-solving, reliability, and product-focused thinking.

What You’ll Do

• Build, iterate, and maintain stable, scalable machine-learning services in production.
• Develop robust backend components, including APIs, data pipelines, and model-serving infrastructure.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate functional requirements into ML-powered features.
• Monitor and improve model performance, reliability, and system scalability.
• Contribute to internal tooling, automation, testing, and documentation to ensure predictable deployments and operations.
• Participate in engineering rituals including planning, peer reviews, and retrospectives.

Your Profile

• Strong proficiency in Python with the ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code.
• Practical experience building and deploying machine-learning models in production environments.
• Solid backend development skills: API design, performance optimisation, and scalability.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and an understanding of data modelling and storage strategies.
• Familiarity with common Python frameworks and libraries used in ML and backend development.
• A methodical, goal-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly with the wider team.
