Research Analyst
1. Job Overview
The Research Analyst position is a generalist role that covers a broad range of fields. The ideal
candidate will be adept at research across a variety of subjects; however, subject knowledge in social
sciences are preferred. Flexibility and competence across disciplines are both key. A significant portion
of the work is academic; thus, an advanced degree is required.

The Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making within the organization. The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can translate complex information into actionable insights, supporting both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing organizational goals by identifying trends, benchmarking, and providing evidence-based recommendations.
2. Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive research to gather data on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate research findings effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments and best practices relevant to the organization’s objectives.
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to assess organizational performance.
- Provide recommendations to senior management based on research findings.
- Conduct research of subject matter according to requirements

- Conduct quick turn-around research while maintaining progress on long-term projects
- Provide support to research team members when needed
3. Key Skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SPSS, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in conducting market research and utilizing secondary research sources.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
4. Qualifications
• Advanced degree is required (MA or PhD)
• Background in social sciences preferred
• Effective in both self-led and directed projects
• Excellent Communicaton skills (oral and writen)
• Intellectual curiosity and analytical skills
