Job Title: Direct-Response Creative Strategist & Static Ad Designer
Time Zone: UK
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Our client is looking for a Direct-Response Creative Strategist & UGLY Static Ad Designer to produce high-performing paid social statics for Meta. They are currently producing ~100 ads per month (statics + video), and this role focuses entirely on creating UGLY, scroll-stopping, conversion-first direct-response creatives.
This is not a brand designer role.
This is a direct-response role focused on disruptive, high-velocity testing and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design wildly diverse, UGLY, scroll-stopping direct-response statics that do NOT follow brand guidelines.
- Rapidly turn hooks, reviews, objections, and product benefits into new DR angles.
- Produce high-volume creative variations across colours, layouts, typography, and formats.
- Generate new weekly angle concepts and competitor breakdowns.
- Create high-disruption advertising concepts that break patterns and stop the scroll.
- Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, ideation, and creative production.
- Follow the company’s direct-response creative process and testing workflow.
- Provide 30–50 static creative variations per week as expected output.
Requirements
- Comfortable using AI tools for concepting, ideation, and production.
- Must be able to create:
- Ugly DR ads;
- Screenshots + yellow highlight callouts;
- Crazy headline variations;
- Meme-inspired visuals;
- Review/testimonial overlays;
- Before/after style creatives;
- Offer-led ads;
- Competitor teardown angles;
- Raw UGC text-over-image layouts.
- Direct-Response Strategy Knowledge - you must understand:
- Hooks;
- Angles;
- Objections;
- Benefits;
- Turning insights into creative concepts.
