Role Description

We are seeking a self-motivated and passionate Product Designer with a strong portfolio across both iOS/android apps.


The Product Designer will become the owner of our app-based products and will require strong project management skills to work across the various sensor products and applications. This role is pivotal in creating exceptional experiences and shaping and developing our design standards.


The ideal candidate can demonstrate a strong skill set with both UI and UX focused design, expertise in Figma and will be responsible for designing the user interfaces that control and feedback with our hardware products. You will be a part of an agile team of Industrial Designers, Mechatronics, Electronics and Software Engineers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leading end-to-end design for existing and new sensors in our app, across both android and iOS
  • Conducting UX research and discovery
  • Executing and iterating on user flows
  • Translating user research into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
  • Driving usability testing in-house and on-site with customers
  • Owning UI and visual design, delivering brand consistent, clean, pixel-perfect designs
  • Contributing to our design system by creating reusable components and patterns
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, UX/UI best practices and WCAG accessibility standards
  • Providing clear specifications and assets for developers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: both written and verbal
  • End to end experience of managing your own workload, product deliverables, timeframes
  • Strong collaboration skills working with a multi-disciplinary team of Industrial Designers, Software, Electronics and Mechatronics Engineers


Experience

  • 3+ years of product design experience
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • A strong visual portfolio showcasing your process
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability principles
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Bonus: Familiarity with responsive web and mobile design
