Associate Scrum Master (Entry level role - 1 to 3 years experience) I 6 months contract plus potential 6 months extension


Rate: $550 to $600 per day plus super

Work Arrangements: Hybrid model — 3 days per week onsite at our Clayton office.

Experience: Junior Role: 1 to 3 years

We’re looking for Scrum Master to support our delivery teams in achieving their goals through Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to coach and guide teams toward continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate squad-level Ways of Working (WoWs) aligned with broader program practices.
  • Ensure compliance with WoWs across all levels.
  • Schedule and lead squad ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, etc.).
  • Track squad actions and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Collaborate with the squad to break down work and maintain accurate Jira boards.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog with clear priorities.
  • Manage sprint lifecycle: creation, population, modification, and completion.
  • Monitor progress toward sprint goals and maintain relevant metrics dashboards.
  • Generate and track Sprint & Release burn-down charts in Jira.


Experience & Certifications

  • Solid experience working as Scrum Master or Agile delivery support role.
  • Progress toward Scrum Master or Kanban Management Professional certification.
  • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Miro or Lucidchart (nice to have).


Knowledge & Capabilities

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and ability to foster accountability.
  • Effective navigation of diverse, matrixed organisations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Experience supporting small-to-medium projects through to completion.
  • Ability to exercise independence and initiative within role scope.
  • Understanding of complex environments, ideally within the university sector or similar.
