Context of mission
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend components and RESTful APIs supporting enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong collaboration skills, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and DevOps engineers to define and refine technical solutions.
• Support deployment, cutover, and hypercare phases, ensuring stable releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system performance and reliability.
• Maintain and update technical documentation for services, configurations, and interfaces.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and cloud strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience (10+ years) in Java development using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud-native principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).
Specific Expertise
• A minimum of 10 years working experience as a Java developer
• Demonstrable experience -minimum 5 years with microservices architecture
• Demonstrable working experience with integration with SAAS solutions
• Demonstrable experience -minimum 5 years with Spring framework
• Minimum 5 years of experience with working in a public transport context
• C1 level (or equivalent) proficiency in spoken and written English
