Role: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Join a large-scale telecom transformation program in Helsinki, where you’ll lead test automation strategy, manage complex environments, and ensure quality across multiple systems. This senior role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence the future of telecom testing.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Define and implement test automation strategy for transformation programs
• Drive low-code/no-code automation (Mabl) and/or traditional frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, API automation)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for test environment services
• Ensure automation coverage, defect leakage reduction, and adherence to quality KPIs
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in QA roles, with at least 3 years focused on telecom BSS/OSS solutions.
• Strong understanding of telecom business processes (billing, provisioning, mediation, customer management, etc.).
• Proficiency in QA methodologies, software testing life cycle, and defect management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
• Familiarity with API testing, web services (REST/SOAP), and database validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.

Good to have:

• Knowledge of telecom protocols (e.g., SS7, Diameter, SIP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
