The role involves testing customer-facing web and mobile applications (iOS/Android), internal customer service and administrative tools, and backend services hosted in a hybrid Azure environment.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, methodical tester who enjoys uncovering issues before customers do, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable working across complex systems and environments. Some time will also be dedicated to writing reusable test cases suitable for automation frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end manual testing across the ADW product suite, including:
- Public-facing websites and mobile apps (iOS and Android).
- Customer service and admin tools (web-based internal systems).
- Backend components hosted in Windows virtual machines and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Validate integrations between front-end, middleware, and backend services.
- Test data flow and integrity involving Azure Storage, APIs, and service layers.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and UAT testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Log and track defects in Jira, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers.
- Participate in release cycles and deployment validations coordinated via Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and coverage.
- Allocate part of your time (~20%) to writing or preparing structured test cases designed to be automated in Playwright and Selenium.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of manual QA testing experience (preferably on multi-platform applications).
- Proven experience testing web applications, mobile apps, and admin tools.
- Familiarity with Azure environments, particularly:
- Azure DevOps (pipelines, releases, work items)
- Azure Storage (blobs, tables, etc.)
- Windows Virtual Machines and/or AKS-hosted microservices
- Experience with Jira for ticketing, defect tracking, and test case management.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Working knowledge of API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
- Basic familiarity with SQL or data validation in relational databases.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to reproduce complex issues.
- Ability to document test results clearly and communicate effectively across teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or other UI automation frameworks.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of betting, gaming, or financial transaction systems.
Key Attributes
- Methodical, organized, and curious about how systems interact.
- Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable testing in environments with complex backend dependencies.
- Driven to ensure a high-quality, reliable customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Must be able to collaborate across time zones with product, development, and operations teams.
