Director of Security

I'm looking for a hands-on security leader for a newly created role in a fast-growing organization.

This Director of Security position combines strategic oversight with operational execution across compliance and cyber security.

What You’ll Do

• Own the security program end-to-end: certifications, risk management, policies, and incident response.
• Define strategy, roadmap, and budget; lead governance processes and a small team.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to deliver measurable security outcomes.

Key Areas

• Governance & Compliance: Maintain ISMS, audit readiness, risk register, and policy library.
• Security Operations: Oversee monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and continuity planning.
• Identity & Access: Drive SSO, JML automation, and least-privilege controls.
• Architecture: Embed secure-by-design principles and manage security tooling.
• Continuous Improvement: Automate workflows and reporting; improve signal quality.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear executive updates and support external audits.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership in both compliance and operational security within cloud-first environments.
• Experience owning ISO 27001 programs and recognized credentials (CISSP/CISM or equivalent).
• Familiarity with SOC/SIEM, incident response, and third-party risk.
• Technical knowledge of identity, encryption, segmentation, and automation.
• Bonus: Experience in SaaS or data-sensitive environments and board-level reporting.
• Someone who has the flexibility to travel to Dublin & Other offices occasionally (USA/UK etc)
