Job Title: Principal DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Platforms

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Principal DevOps Engineer with 10 to 15 years of experience in building and managing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS or Azure, strong automation and deployment capabilities, and experience integrating Databricks or Snowflake into DevOps workflows. This role is critical in driving DevOps maturity, enabling scalable delivery, and ensuring operational excellence across cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities:

CI/CD Strategy & Implementation

- Architect and implement robust, scalable CI/CD pipelines for application and data platform deployments.

- Lead automation of build, test, and release processes using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.

- Define and enforce best practices for version control, branching strategies, and release management.

Databricks / Snowflake Integration (Preferred)

- Support deployment and configuration of Databricks notebooks, jobs, and clusters.

- Automate Snowflake data workflows and integrations within CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with data teams to ensure seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.

Collaboration & Leadership

- Partner with development, data engineering, and architecture teams to align DevOps practices with delivery goals.

- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and release planning.

Required Qualifications:

- 10–15 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.

- Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, and release management.

- Deep hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

- Strong knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake in a DevOps context.

- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or DevOps tools (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert).

- Exposure to data platform deployment and automation.
