About The Role

As a BI Specialist at Dynavox Group, you’ll step into a broad and dynamic role within our global BI & Analytics team, part of the Group Finance function. Together with your colleagues, you will empower the entire organization with high-quality data and insights across all business areas. Your mission is to transform data into knowledge and knowledge into action, enabling data-driven decisions that move Tobii Dynavox forward.

The Business Intelligence team is responsible for the Dynavox BI data estate including operating and developing an enterprise data warehouse, front end reports and semantic models as well as to continuously adapt to a changing catalogue of source systems and business requirements.

Please note: This is a hybrid role based in Stockholm, Sweden. Occasional international travel (10–20%) may be required and will be communicated in advance.

In this role you will:

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions through hands-on development around architecture, coding and integration to contribute to a scalable, and stable BI architecture.
  • Work across the full data value chain from integrating data sources using connectivity tools and APIs, to transforming and aligning data, and delivering insights via reports, dashboards, and analytical models.
  • Develop and improve Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions using the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Be part of the BI data warehouse maintenance, enhancement and daily operations.
  • Build and optimize data models, semantic layers, and ETL pipelines.
  • Help develop capabilities within Azure technologies such as Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, and Synapse pipelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support global data initiatives and participate in projects focused on customer usage data and event-based analytics.

As we continue to strengthen our data landscape, the need for event-driven analytics, and ability to handle larger and more complex data sets is growing. We are therefore looking for a BI Specialist with a strong engineering mindset, interest in business and passion for data.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) or similar fields with skills in statistics and reporting.
  • Experience in BI roles such as BI Specialist, Analyst, Consultant, or Data Scientist.
  • Coding skills in SQL, DAX, and M.
  • Communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills to work closely with external and internal stakeholders across various levels and functions.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in English.
  • Adaptability, ability to work with autonomy and take initiatives proactively.

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Interest in business processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of, and curiosity to explore, additional programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with traditional database management and Azure event-based technologies (Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or modern lake house concepts.
  • Experience with TimeXtender or similar orchestration tools.
