We are hiring an experienced Senior Back-End Engineer to help build and scale a modern B2B SaaS platform used across private equity, banking, and fund administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning architecture, driving best practices, and delivering high-performance backend systems.

Role Description

• Design and develop backend services powering our SaaS platform
• Build modular, scalable, and open architectures for private equity integrations
• Develop resilient microservices (Java 21 + Spring Boot)
• Ensure performance, maintainability, and reliability across the platform
• Build and document REST APIs
• Use OpenAPI for interface generation and structured documentation
• Integrate with systems used by private equity firms, banks, and fund administrators
• Identify bottlenecks, optimise data flow, and maintain high system performance
• Champion clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices
• Contribute to robust deployment pipelines and platform uptime
• Provide technical guidance to the engineering team
• Support a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong expertise with Java (ideally Java 21) and Spring Boot
• Proven experience in architecting and deploying microservices
• Solid SQL skills + schema versioning with Flyway
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Cognito, KMS)
• Docker & Kubernetes production experience
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and OpenAPI
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
