Chroma is currently working with a leading high-street retailer that’s expanding their development team and looking to hire a Backend Developer. This role offers a salary of up to £80,000, alongside excellent benefits and a hybrid working model (2–3 days per week in their Manchester office).

As a Backend Developer, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling the systems that power their digital platforms. You’ll design and develop robust, high-performing APIs that enhance customer experiences and support global growth. Key Skills:

• Strong experience with Java and APIs
• Proven experience building and scaling cloud-based microservices
• A self-motivated team player with a passion for clean, scalable code and continuous improvement

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Kotlin
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
