Overview:
As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications. Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing website layouts based on client specifications and user experience principles.
- Developing server-side and client-side code for web-based applications.
- Integrating graphics, audio, and video components into the website for enhanced user experience.
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code using best software development practices.
- Collaborating with graphic designers to ensure visually appealing site design.
- Testing website functionality, identifying technical problems, and debugging issues.
- Conducting ongoing website maintenance, including monitoring performance, optimizing loading speeds, and updating content.
- Staying abreast of new trends and technologies in web development and recommending relevant updates and improvements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers and marketers, to ensure the successful execution of digital projects.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for website-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a web developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Familiarity with server-side languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) and proficiency in SQL.
- Solid understanding of web development best practices, including SEO principles.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
