Job Description

This is more than a tech job. You'll be instrumental in elevating SkillGrader from its MVP stage to a universally adopted, industry-defining, robust application that is responsive to rapidly evolving customer needs. Your work will directly impact how companies conduct skill assessments, identify gaps, keep people safe, and ensure quality and compliance, influencing sectors from healthcare to emergency services and beyond.

We have an MVP product which will continue to be deployed - we are past the market validation phase and now we have to adapt very fast to our new clients and the needs of the markets that we are targeting. The product requires continued development as we gain insights and customer feedback. Thus your job at SkillGrader will be very hands-on - both making improvements to the technology yourself while also formulating a development plan for scaling alongside other developers.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical vision and development of SkillGrader
• Act as a hands-on contributor in the growth stages, focusing on app development
• Participate in the oversight of technology and all aspects of engineering
• Support strategic planning for technical development and future growth
• Work closely with development and business partners

Qualifications

• Extensive experience and expert-level knowledge with React Native (TypeScript) for cross-platform mobile solutions, leveraging mobx-state-tree for state management.
• Proven track record building iOS and Android applications.
• Extensive Knowledge of app store deployment processes.
• Knowledge of native tools (Xcode, Swift/Objective-C, Java/Kotlin)
• Full-Stack Understanding
• SaaS Startup Experience
• Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments that prioritize rapid iteration and market responsiveness.
• Experience collaborating with remote teams is a plus, including effective communication and project coordination.
• Ability and experience to mentor junior developers and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.

Technical Skills

• Expert level knowledge with React Native (TypeScript) for cross-platform development, including mobx-state-tree for state management. (5+year)
• Extensive experience with app store (iOS, Google Play) deployment and release management.
• Experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Java/Kotlin) native development.
• RESTful APIs, data exchange protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
