Pinch is a tech-enabled concierge med spa based in Evanston, IL. We empower healthcare entrepreneurs by enabling Nurse Practitioners to deliver aesthetic services directly to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Pinch is growing fast, founded by a SpotHero executive and a surgeon, and backed by several top venture capital firms.
Role Summary
Pinch is seeking its first full-time product designer. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the Pinch brand and eager to work at an early-stage startup where they can wear many hats and make a big impact.
We want a UX-focused product designer who thinks critically and challenges ideas they believe aren’t in the best interest of the user or the business. At the same time, they should be able to “disagree and commit,” working enthusiastically as part of the team.
Desired Experience
- 3+ years of experience in product design
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma
Responsibilities
- User Experience Research
- Develop a deep understanding of our users through interviews and usability studies
- Gather insights using product analytics and business intelligence tools
- Run workshops (e.g., design sprints) to help the product team and stakeholders define the product vision and specific features
- Define requirements for new features, deliver polished designs, and clearly articulate design decisions
- User Interface Design
- Design user interfaces that apply the brand guidelines
- Build and maintain our design system in collaboration with frontend engineers
- Product Strategy
- Incorporate feedback from business stakeholders, users, and engineers, iterating rapidly on designs
- Prioritize features based on business and user needs
- Plan product experiments and determine success metrics using data
- Contribute ideas for product innovation to boost growth or user delight, and develop a perspective on Pinch’s long-term product vision
