Job Title: Data Analyst (Junior/Mid) - Build Our Data Stack

About the role

We are Loanoptions.ai, an AI-driven loan brokerage and software provider. We are a startup, we move fast, and we are looking for someone to take full ownership of our data reporting.

We are looking for someone hungry, smart, and technical who wants their big break - someone who wants to be the "Head of Data" from day one rather than just a number in a big corporate team. This is an in person role.

What you’ll be doing

You will be given total autonomy to build our analytics function from the ground up.

• Setup: You will help us choose and set up a BI tool (like Metabase, PowerBI, or Looker) to visualize our Postgres data.
• SQL: You will write the queries to join our tables and extract the insights we need.
• The Shift: Since we moved from NoSQL (Mongo) to SQL (Postgres), you’ll help us make sure the data mapping is clean and accurate.
• Insights: Insights: You will design high-impact, visually compelling dashboards that allow the Founder and executive leadership team to interpret complex metrics in seconds. You have an eye for UX/UI in reporting.

Who you are

• SQL & Python skills are a must. SQL and Python skills are a must. You need to be comfortable digging into a database with SQL, but also using Python (Pandas/NumPy) for complex data cleaning, automation, and ETL tasks..
• You are a builder. You don’t need a manager standing over your shoulder telling you exactly what report to run. You see a problem and you build a dashboard to solve it.
• 1-3 years of experience. You have the fundamentals down, but you are ready to take the training wheels off and own a project.
• Analysis & Engineering. You understand that Analysis requires Engineering. You are comfortable setting up basic data pipelines and know how to model data schemas for performance, not just query speed.
• Bonus points: If you have experience in asset finance or lending (understanding terms like LVR, tier 1 vs tier 3 lenders, settlements), we definitely want to talk to you.
