As a DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Software Development Team, responsible for building and operating our cloud infrastructure on Azure. You’ll design automated processes for CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment, introduce new tools to the team, and support the integration of new technologies. Around 20% of your time will involve development tasks in Python or JavaScript, particularly where infrastructure and application code intersect.
DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)
Your responsibilities:
- Build, operate, and further develop our Azure-based cloud infrastructure
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Implementation and management of GitOps-based build, test, and deployment processe
- Monitor systems, manage logging, handle incidents, and enhance infrastructure security
- Collaborate with developers to optimize Dev/Test/Prod workflows
- Contribute to cross-functional digital projects across the FMTG Group
- Support backend/scripting tasks (Python/JavaScript) in selected software initiatives
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on knowledge of automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Ansible)
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, optionally Kubernetes)
- Solid programming skills in Python or JavaScript
- Team player with a passion for agile collaboration in a development context
- University degree in computer science or related field is a plus
- Excellent English and good German skills

For this full-time position (40 hours/week), we offer a gross monthly salary starting at € 3,800. Depending on qualifications and experience, a market-compliant overpayment is possible.
