Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDK Developer / Audio Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing audio and spatial audio engines for gaming applications. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SDKs that enhance the audio experience in our games.
- Design and develop SDKs for audio and spatial audio engines optimized for gaming applications.
- Work closely with game developers to integrate audio SDKs into projects using Unreal Engine and Unity.
- Optimize audio performance and ensure smooth integration with game engines for an exceptional user experience.
- Analyse and benchmark competitive audio engines to maintain a best-in-class standard for our solutions.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in audio technology and spatial audio techniques.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to support the growth and development of junior team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on audio and spatial audio engines.
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Unreal Engine and Unity.
- Solid understanding of audio processing, 3D audio, and spatial audio techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C# or Python.
- Familiarity with audio middleware tools like FMOD or Wwise.
- Experience with audio development for VR/AR applications.
- Background in cross-platform development.
