Our SynchroGuard solution is the first monitoring and automation system for electrical distribution grids. Based on the most advanced monitoring technology currently available, Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs), SynchroGuard provides instant visibility into distribution grids performance, helps integrate more renewables and EVs, and, thanks to unique fault location algorithms, reduces the impact of blackouts.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Go Backend Software Developer to craft our new platform and deliver to our customers high quality software code embracing modern software architectures (microservices, function as a service, event driven, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into well-crafted code.
• Develop microservices to manage smart grids data.
• Integrate components to deliver a fully functional platform.
• Discuss fine grained design choice with the Architect.
• Document and maintain software functionalities.
• Apply test-driven development and maintain unit and functional tests.
• Take part to team code reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years experience in delivering high quality software.
• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• Knowledge of microservice event driven architectures.
• Mastering of Docker.
• Solid experience with git.

Desirable Skills

• Experience writing automation or tooling in Python.
• Familiarity with agile approaches.
• Experience with securing microservices.
• Ability to interact with front end developers.
• Understanding of the power-system domain (e.g., grid operations, or electrical system modeling).
