Scrum Master - 12 Month Contract – Amstelveen – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our ambitious Private Cloud transformation initiative. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building and coaching the first DevSecOps teams, embedding Agile ways of working, and fostering high-performing team dynamics. This is not a role for an existing Agile team – you will help shape the teams from the ground up, enabling internal delivery excellence that ultimately translates into customer value across regulated sectors in the Benelux and Nordics.

You will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, Automation Engineers, Security Specialists, Compliance Officers, and Platform Architects, as well as stakeholders, technical leads, and leadership across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Formation & Onboarding: Support the creation of DevSecOps teams, including onboarding, setting up working methods, embedding Agile rituals, and fostering effective team dynamics.
• Agile Coaching: Guide teams in Agile principles, Scrum practices, ownership, collaboration, and effective communication.
• Delivery Focus: Ensure clear sprint goals aligned with transformation objectives, maintaining focus on the right priorities.
• Impediment Removal: Identify blockers and work collaboratively with the Transformation Lead to resolve them.
• Continuous Improvement: Use metrics such as velocity, lead time, team happiness, and quality to drive measurable improvements.
• Performance Measurement: Ensure that results are visible, measurable, and aligned with both internal efficiency and external customer impact.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in IT Infrastructure environments (Cloud, Networks), ideally 5+ years.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum.
• Affinity with DevOps practices to effectively communicate and prioritize within multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with network automation tools and technologies (e.g., Ansible, Python).
• Experience with network infrastructure concepts including routing, switching, firewalls, SDN, and Cloud technologies.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
