We are seeking an experienced Palo Alto Prisma (SDWAN) and Cisco SD-WAN Viptela Design and Implementation Engineer to join our dynamic WAN design and implementation team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, deployment, and optimization of SD-WAN solutions for our enterprise client using the Cisco Viptela and Palo Alto Prisma platform. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of SD-WAN technologies into our clients’ networks. Candidate should have strong knowledge on BGP and IGP routing protocols. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Skills:

Strong knowledge in Palo Alto Prisma and Cisco SD-WAN Design , Lead the design of scalable and secure SD-WAN solutions based on Cisco Viptela and Prisma technology for enterprise environments. Analyze customer requirements, including network performance, security, and scalability, to create optimal SD-WAN designs. Develop high-level and low-level network architecture diagrams, including WAN topologies, IP Address, routing protocols, QoS, and security policies. Provide design recommendations based on industry best practices and customer needs. L4 level knowledge in Routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Static routes, Policy based routing, Route-maps, Prefix list, ACL, BGP attributes (AS Path, MED, local Pref) and communities.

Cisco Viptela:

• Proven experience with Cisco SD-WAN Viptela, including vSmart, vBond, vManage, and vEdge devices.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies including routing (OSPF, BGP), VPNs, QoS, and MPLS. Experience with WAN optimization and cloud technologies.
• Familiar with network security principles, such as encryption, authentication, and segmentation, particularly in SD-WAN environments.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN configuration, including policy creation, path control, application visibility, and traffic engineering.
• Configure SD-WAN policies including path selection, application-aware routing, security policies, and VPN configurations.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance tuning in SD-WAN environments.

Palo Alto Prisma:

• Proven experience in deploying and managing Palo Alto Networks security solutions, particularly Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access, and Prisma SaaS.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, including public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewall configuration, VPNs, SSL decryption, identity and access management (IAM), and security monitoring.
• Experience with cloud-native security, threat intelligence, and automated security controls in cloud environments.

WAN - Design, Implementation & Deployment:

Cisco SDWAN:

Oversee the deployment and configuration of Cisco Viptela SD-WAN solutions from planning through post-deployment support. Work with project management and network teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of SD-WAN solutions. Configure and install Viptela devices, including vSmart, vBond, and vManage, ensuring proper communication between components. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues during implementation phases, ensuring minimal service disruption. Work with service providers (ISP), create BOM, order circuits and devices, cost forecast for network projects.

Prisma:

Lead the design and architecture of Palo Alto Prisma SDWAN Cloud solutions, Oversee the implementation of Prisma solutions, ensuring smooth deployment within customer environments (on-premises, cloud, hybrid). Configure Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access, and Prisma SaaS products to provide robust security controls and manage access to cloud and on-premises resources. Conduct deployment and configuration of Palo Alto Networks security technologies, including firewalls, Prisma Cloud, and Prisma Access, while coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. Monitor and assess cloud environments to identify risks and gaps in security controls, then implement optimized configurations. Configure and enforce security policies such as traffic filtering, URL filtering, DNS security, and firewall policies within Prisma solutions.

Secondary Skills:

• Experience with other SD-WAN platforms (e.g., FortiGate, VMware VeloCloud, Silver Peak) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native network design.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for network configuration and management.
• Security –Manage Palo Alto and Cisco firewall.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in WAN and LAN networks.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in design, implement, and supporting SD-WAN solutions, preferably with Cisco Viptela and Palo Alto Prisma technology.
• Strong background in large-scale network design and deployment, with a focus on Datacenter WAN, Campus and branch network solutions.
• Experience working with enterprise-level clients and leading complex SD-WAN projects.

Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications are required.
• Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) certification (e.g., Cisco Certified Specialist – SD-WAN) is highly desirable.
• Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud certification or similar certifications are highly desirable.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
