We are in need of a proficient Data Engineer & FinOps Analyst to oversee and enhance cloud expenditure on Azure and GCP platforms. If you possess expertise in cloud cost management, data reporting tools, and FinOps practices, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Cost Management: Supervise the organization's cloud expenses for Azure and GCP.
- Data Integration: Process cloud cost data, integrate it with the business hierarchy, and generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for various teams.
- Cost Optimization: Visualize reservations, savings plans, and identify cost irregularities, taking necessary actions to minimize wastage.
- Reporting: Develop detailed dashboards for cloud cost, chargeback, showback, governance, engineering, and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, controllers, engineering teams, and cloud vendors to provide essential data and address cost-related issues.
- Data Reporting Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, Data Factory, PowerAutomate (preferred but not mandatory), and Fabric (nice to have).
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of Azure and GCP fundamentals, BigQuery, and cloud cost management APIs.
- Automation & Queries: Knowledge of PowerShell and resource graph queries.
- Data Analysis: Experience in analyzing datasets and identifying cost trends or anomalies.
- FinOps Practices: Hands-on experience with FinOps principles such as cost optimization, governance, chargeback, and showback.
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
