Shape the future of HR with AI-augmented product work
At Simployer, we simplify work-life for thousands of companies across the Nordics by delivering HR and people solutions that actually get used. We are now hiring Product Managers who wants to evolve how product management is done—combining strong product sense with modern AI fluency to deliver value faster and with greater precision.
This is not a traditional “ticket-moving” PM role.
You will own outcomes, shape strategy, and lead your product area.
This is a role for someone who enjoys owning outcomes, not just backlogs. You’re curious, structured, and motivated by solving real problems for real users. Whether you come from Product, Operations, Customer Success, or Engineering, if you care about building useful products and are keen to work with modern tools (including AI), we want to talk to you.
Why this role?
As a Product Manager at Simployer you will:
- Shape how HR is practiced through the products you own. Your work directly affects how thousands of managers and millions of employees experience work-life.
- Be recognized as a leader of your domain. You are the expert on your area, your product, and your users. People look to you for clarity on where we’re going and why.
- Make the calls on product direction. Commercial and technical leadership will challenge, support, and collaborate with you — but ultimately defer to your judgement on what creates the most value.
- Grow as a leader over time. We invest in you through leadership development opportunities so your influence and capability can keep up with your scope.
Why Simployer?
Simployer is a leading HR tech company in the Nordics. You’ll work in a product organization that:
- Takes product seriously – PMs are expected and trusted to drive strategy, not just manage tickets.
- Invests in people – through learning opportunities, leadership programs, and access to experienced colleagues.
- Embraces modern ways of working – including AI-assisted workflows, data-informed decisions, and continuous discovery.
- Is big enough to matter but small enough that your work is visible, appreciated, and has clear impact.
What we offer
- Collaborative culture – Work with cross-functional teams who care about users and about each other. You’ll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable product community.
- Growth and leadership development – Access to development opportunities to grow as a PM and leader.
- Continuous learning – A dedicated budget for courses, books, or tools that help you grow your craft.
- Competitive compensation – Market-aligned salary and benefits.
- Modern tools – Access to enterprise-grade AI and productivity tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Cursor) to support discovery, analysis, and execution
- Modern offices - Access to modern and centrally located office spaces in Oslo (Rebel) or Stockholm (Posthuset)
Skills & Requirements
What you will do
As a Product Manager at Simployer, you will own the strategy and execution for your product area. We are not looking for a “ticket manager.” We are looking for someone who uses modern tools and methods to shorten the path from insight to shipped value.
You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle—discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration. AI and automation will be part of your toolkit for handling data, research material, and drafting, so you can focus more of your energy on strategy, user understanding, and commercial outcomes.
In practice, this means you will:
- Strategic discovery
- Lead customer and stakeholder discovery. Use AI tools to help synthesize feedback, analyse customer support logs, and spot patterns faster—paired with your own judgement and conversations with users.
- Rapid prototyping
- Move beyond static text requirements. Use prototyping tools and, where it makes sense, generative AI to create mockups, flows, or logic that clarify intent for design, engineering, and stakeholders.
- Data-informed decisions
- Explore and interpret data independently. You’re comfortable using available tools to understand usage patterns, behavior, and product performance, and using that insight to shape priorities.
- Stakeholder alignment
- Clearly communicate problem framing, trade-offs, and roadmaps to commercial teams and leadership.
- You act as the translator between business goals and technical execution, making sure everyone shares the same picture of what we’re doing and why.
What you will bring
- Product experience - You have experience shipping digital products or internal tools, in any role close to product (Product, Operations, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, etc.).
- Engineer with a product mindset?
- If you’ve found yourself caring more about user value and outcomes than the details of implementation, this can be a natural next step. We value the technical intuition you bring.
- Operational AI fluency - You treat AI as a collaborator, not a gimmick. You can show how you already use LLMs or automation to improve your workflow (for research, drafting, analysis, or similar) and you’re excited to push this further.
- Builder mindset - You focus on outcomes and shipped value rather than process for its own sake. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and iterating toward a solution based on feedback and learning.
- Technical intuition - You understand the basics of how modern software and AI systems work (including concepts like risk, hallucinations, context windows, and trade-offs), and can have substantive conversations with engineers.
- Communication and leadership - You communicate clearly in writing and in person, can facilitate discussions, and are comfortable acting as a leader for your product area.
- Ownership and proactivity - You don’t wait for permission to fix things. When you see a bottleneck or opportunity, you raise it and propose a path forward.
The AI toolkit and culture
We don’t just talk about innovation; we put it into how we work. As a Product Manager at Simployer, you get:
- AI-accelerated toolset – You won’t have to justify using AI – it’s our default. We actively encourage you to use LLMs and automation as part of your everyday workflows.
- Tools: ChatGPT Business, Cursor Pro, Github Copilot
- A culture of experimentation – If something in your own workflow feels slow or inefficient, you’re encouraged to “just hack yourself”—prototype, automate, or streamline it. And if you see a shared process or workflow that could be better, you don’t need permission to improve it: just fix it. We celebrate curiosity, initiative, and pragmatic innovation.
- An AI chapter that keeps you sharp – Our Product & Tech AI chapter moves fast enough to keep everyone on their toes—and often at the edge of their seats. You’ll be surrounded by people who push boundaries, share breakthroughs, and constantly explore what’s possible with modern AI.
- Unleash your own potential – Our product tagline is “Unleash the full potential in people.” That applies internally too. If you feel there’s more potential in you waiting to be unlocked, this is a place where you can actually do that—supported, challenged, and surrounded by people who want to level up together.
- AI-accelerated toolset – You won’t have to justify using AI – it’s our default. We actively encourage you to use LLMs and automation as part of your everyday workflows.
- Learning culture – We see mistakes made in honest experimentation as tuition. If something breaks because we moved fast, we fix it, learn, and improve together.
Message from the hiring managers
We’re currently hiring multiple Product Managers across different teams. We - Jonatan and Daniel - are partnering closely and genuinely looking forward to meeting the right people to join our journey.
Hi, I’m Jonatan, and I’m Head of Product for our Core HRM experience at Simployer. What truly motivates me is building products that make people’s lives meaningfully better. I also get a lot of energy from coaching PMs and teams—it’s incredibly rewarding to see people gain confidence, clarity, and real momentum in their craft. People often tell me I’m a personal, dedicated, and positive leader. I believe deeply in empowered product teams that stay close to customers, own their outcomes, and have the trust and autonomy to do their best work. Right now is a special moment for us: AI is opening new doors, our platform is evolving quickly, and our products shape how millions experience work across the Nordics. If you’re curious, ambitious, and want to be part of that journey, I’d genuinely love to talk.
Hello! I'm Daniel Tollefsen, Head of Product (AI) at Simployer. Having built and shipped products across different teams, startups, scale-ups, industries and geographies has taught me one consistent truth: the best products come from PMs who stay close to customers and close to the craft. I’ve always been a builder—from Lego to AI systems—and I believe modern PMs should feel comfortable using AI, data, and integrations as natural extensions of their problem-solving toolkit. I aim to lead with transparency, trust, and a focus on meaningful outcomes. If you’re excited about creating products that people love because they make life simpler, you'll fit right in at Simployer.
