About The Role
As a Data Business Analyst, you will report to Head of Data and your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure business data—covering products, policies, claims, customers, and financials—is logically structured and aligned to business domains.
- Maintain clear definitions and documentation for entities, attributes, and fields.
- Collaborate with data owners and process experts to harmonize terminology and resolve inconsistencies.
- Define and monitor data quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
- Drive initiatives to improve data quality across domains.
- Contribute to the business glossary, metadata catalog, and governance framework.
- (Optional) Perform hands-on data exploration and profiling using Power BI, Power Query, or AI-assisted tools.
- Preferably a Master’s degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Natural Sciences.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to translate business processes into clear data definitions.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to improving data quality.
- Collaborative mindset and passion for cross-functional work.
- Curiosity about data structures, systems, and their impact on business outcomes.
- Experience with Power BI, Excel, and Power Query for data analysis and profiling.
- Understanding of data management, data quality, or governance principles.
- Familiarity with insurance data domains (policy, claim, product, customer).
- (Optional but valued) Exposure to AI-assisted schema analysis, basic scripting (e.g., Python), or metadata tools.
- Be part of a strategic transformation that will redefine how data is organized and governed across the business.
- Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a strong focus on innovation and quality.
- Flexible location: Copenhagen preferred, but Oslo, Stockholm, or nearshore candidates are welcome.
