Company Description

Silver-i is transforming the world of wealth management through automation and intelligence.

We’re building technology that streamlines the price discovery process for structured products, empowering financial professionals to make faster, smarter, and more accurate pricing decisions.

By combining advanced algorithms, real-time market data, and a sleek digital workflow, Silver-i helps wealth managers move beyond spreadsheets — enabling them to react quickly to market shifts, boost efficiency, and focus on what truly matters: building stronger, value-driven relationships with their clients.

Role Description

We’re looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our growing team in Singapore.

This is a full-time hybrid role — we’re flexible with work-from-home days, as long as communication and results stay sharp.

You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the backbone of our platform — the systems that power data flow, REST API communication, scalability, and reliability behind the scenes. Expect hands-on exposure to modern backend stacks, cloud infrastructure, and real-time systems as you help us scale Silver-i into the future of digital wealth management.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain high-throughput backend services for event collection, storage, and processing.

Design REST APIs and microservices that aggregate, analyze, and distribute data across our ecosystem.

Implement robust data streaming and queuing mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ) for efficient async processing.

Integrate with internal modules (authentication, pricing, market data, optimizer, etc.) to ensure seamless system interoperability.

Optimize systems for scalability, fault-tolerance, and low-latency performance.

Work closely with DevOps to improve monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems.

Perform performance profiling, tracing, and debugging to ensure system stability and reliability.

Tech Stack You Will Be Working With

Languages: Python, TypeScript (or similar modern backend languages)

Frameworks: FastAPI, React (or similar lightweight frameworks)

APIs: REST, internal service-to-service communication

Data & Messaging: Redis, MySQL

Monitoring & Observability: AWS CloudWatch, Grafana (or similar)

Cloud & Deployment: AWS, Docker

Version Control & CI/CD: GitHub

What We Are Looking For

A solid understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems & API design

Experience (or strong interest) in building scalable, fault-tolerant microservices.

Familiarity with real-time data processing, async jobs, and system queues.

A problem-solver mindset with strong attention to detail and performance.

Comfortable working in cloud-native environments and with infrastructure automation.

Bonus: Experience with system monitoring, metrics dashboards, or internal dev tooling.

Who We Are Looking For

Duration: Minimum 4–6 months (Flexible start date from Dec or Jan)

Year 2 and above students currently pursuing a relevant degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines, with a strong interest in backend development, cloud infrastructure, and scalable systems.

Stricly Singaporeans only

*More than technical skills, we value attitude, curiosity, and a hunger to learn.

You’ll be learning hands-on across multiple tech stacks, experimenting with new coding patterns, and growing into a stronger, faster, and more adaptable engineer.

Why Join Us?

You’ll be helping build the backbone that keeps Silver-i’s ecosystem transparent, stable, and data-driven.

If you enjoy designing resilient systems, solving reliability challenges, and working with a team that values growth over titles, this is the place for you.

At Silver-i, you’ll get:

Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

The chance to shape how financial systems are built from the ground up.

A collaborative environment that encourages experimentation, iteration, and learning.

Real ownership, impact, and growth — not just another corporate coding seat.
