The NOC Service Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and infrastructure systems within the data center environment. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of critical services by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
24/7 Monitoring of network, servers, and data center infrastructure using NOC tools.
Incident Management: Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and escalate to relevant teams as per SLA.
Troubleshooting: Perform first-level and second-level support for network and hardware faults.
Change Management: Execute approved changes and maintenance activities following standard procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and vendors for issue resolution.
Reporting: Generate daily/weekly performance and incident reports for management review.
Technical Skill/expereince:
- Knowledge of Optical Ethernet and Transport Networks (Ciena 6500, Waveserver AI desirable).
- Familiarity with DWDM, MPLS, IP networking, and data center connectivity.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar).
Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
