Kforce has a client that is seeking a Back End Developer. This person must be able to work hybrid 3-4 days a week from Midtown NYC. Summary: We are looking for a Developer with a little Front End experience, who can get their hands dirty with code/troubleshooting. We need someone who can handle the highly regulated, high-pressure environment that is not very Developer-friendly. This person must have familiarity with all the processes, red tape, auditory/compliance parts of the job that get in the way of the actual work.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience, with 2-3+ years of that in Java
- Backend experience strongly preferred, no frontend only devs (Angular, React, JS, TS, etc.)
- SQL proficiency
- Solid grasp of more complex SQL operations (see if they can mention any of the following when probing about SQL: CTE, query plans, troubleshooting, indexes, etc.)
- Some finance experience or equivalent environment
- Not for finance-specific knowledge
- Some infrastructure experience
- Experience with CI/CD - Jenkins, github actions, urbancode, etc.
- Experience with AWS - S3, SQS, SSM, KMS, etc.
- Communication skills
- Able to explain something technical in layman's terms
- Personable and easy to work with
- Must work hybrid 3-4 days a week from Midtown NYC
