A rapidly growing technology business in the mobility sector is searching for a Backend Engineer to support its Senior Developer in building new products, improving existing systems, and expanding its data platform.

You’ll work closely with technical leadership to design and maintain scalable backend services, primarily using Go (Golang). This is a high-impact role with broad exposure to system architecture, data processing, and product development across a complex integration ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Contribute to system design, new features, and technical strategy.
• Work across high-volume data platforms and multiple integrations.
• Identify priorities, deliver iteratively, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate closely with senior technical leaders.

Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of backend experience building service-oriented applications.
• Proficient in Go or a similar language (Python, Java, C#, etc.).
• Experience with GCP or another cloud provider.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, SQL, containers, and modern Git workflows.
• Knowledge of good software design principles and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Bonus: Kubernetes, big data tools, automation scripting, AI-assisted coding tools.
• Highly organised, great communicator, comfortable owning end-to-end delivery.
