Key Responsibilities
- Document, develop, and test software components and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Contribute to the specification, design, and planning of new features, working closely with your team.
- Maintain our internal cloud platforms (including OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and GitLab).
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across internal and customer platforms.
- Drive improvements and innovation within our software development lifecycle and customer operations.
- Collaborate in a multifunctional team alongside developers, test engineers, and architects, sharing knowledge and supporting each other’s growth.
- A BSc degree (2:1 or higher) — or equivalent experience — in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of database systems, networking, and programming (C++ preferred but not essential).
- Experience using Git for source control.
- Confidence working in Linux environments.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and an understanding of asynchronous or event-driven programming.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP/RestAPIs, or LDAP.
- Linux administration experience (e.g., DNS, LDAP, OAuth, nftables).
- Exposure to cloud and container technologies (e.g., containerisation, Podman, Helm, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics/Logs, FluentBit, HAProxy, Vault).
- Experience with GitLab for GitOps and CI/CD.
