About the role

As a Network Engineer, you will be working within the Digital Workplace to support the IT functions of the Central Network platforms. You will be providing day to day management of the company’s Digital Workplace Shared Services, Cloud and Office Networks. You will be responsible for overarching oversight for the Digital Workplace technologies working with the external partners to ensure that they are delivering the necessary services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Digital Workplace European Director of Digital Workplace, this position is designed to support the IT functions of LG Central Network platforms and its associated services hosted by Liberty Global with best-in-class Digital Workplace Technologies.
  • The position provides oversight of the day-to-day management of the company’s Digital Workplace Shared Services, Cloud & Office Networks, the implementation/optimization of new networks and policies in the LG Central entities.
  • This position will help develop Liberty Global’s Digital Workplace strategy and roadmap and will support the delivery of this roadmap in terms of Architecture, Solution Design & SME consultancy.
  • This position will also be responsible the overarching oversight for the Digital Workplace technologies working with the external partners to ensure that they are delivering the necessary services and service levels required to support LG’s end user base.
  • Oversee day to day delivery and service for LG IT Networks & Platforms
  • Provide SME consultancy support for relevant technologies to both the LG and Infosys DWP teams owning any technical evaluations and decisioning
  • Support the development of the LG Digital Workplace vision and strategies as it relates to the organization's DWP infrastructure
  • In conjunction with the Central Security team and the Central DWP Service Managers, manage the security posture of the Central DWP environments to ensure compliance with LG policies
  • Ensure smooth performance and operation of IT technology services by monitoring key performance metrics and owning a platform remediation plan for any services which do not the required standard
  • Create an architectural and solution design review board for Network design decisions and technical implementations to ensure alignment to strategy and service metrics.
  • Provide direction and guidance to our outsourced services provider.


Experience:

  • Extensive experience in networking and security technologies, with hands on experience in managing and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Experience in Cloud and On Prem (Must-Have)
  • Experience in configuring and managing network security devices including checkpoint firewalls, On-Premises LAN, WAN, WIFI and Azure Cloud network environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration.
  • Excellent organizational skills and collaboration skills.

  • This role provides a onsite working access based in Kings Road, London. (5 days in office)
