Senior Backend Engineer

With over 20,000 businesses using our product Allô, we are expanding our backend technology to support high performance, scalability, and seamless integration with mobile applications.

What will you do

Work side by side with our CTO to design, build, and maintain the foundations of our backend and AI systems.

Collaborate with mobile engineers to deliver scalable and reliable services for our existing and upcoming products.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain backend services using Kotlin, Java, Go, Python, or similar.

Design and define backend tools, databases, and architecture for our applications.

Integrate with cloud services such as AWS, Supabase, and Cloudflare.

Develop tools, libraries, and components that improve backend development efficiency.

Plan and execute CI/CD pipelines and data workflows.

Monitor system performance with tools like New Relic or Datadog, and drive optimization.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in backend development and building high-performance systems used by millions.

Proficiency in one or more of Kotlin, Java, Go, Python, etc., and solid database design and optimization.

Track record of building scalable, reliable backend systems.

Experience with AI (applying models to product use cases and optimizing production performance) is a strong plus.

Strong system architecture skills and ability to monitor and maintain distributed systems.

Excellent communication, ownership, and ability to work in a fast, ambiguous environment.

Fluent in English; Spanish and French are a plus.
