Who are we and why should you care?
Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up born in 2012 in Ghent, Belgium, and part of the Visma Group since 2022. Our mission? To make work easier, not harder, for small and medium-sized businesses.
Here’s what we bring to the table:
- Teamleader Focus: the all-in-one tool that helps small businesses optimise CRM, projects, and invoicing.
- Teamleader One: the go-to e-invoicing software that self-employed pros can count on.
We’ve also been growing smarter through strategic acquisitions:
- Teamleader Orbit (2019): helping medium-sized agencies thrive and scale.
- Vectera (2022): powering seamless customer meetings.
- Dexxter (2024): making financial admin a breeze for freelancers.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join us on our mission
As a Software Engineer at Teamleader, you:
- Ship end-to-end features: design APIs, write backend logic, model data, create migrations, and build polished UI in Angular.
- Modernize the codebase: reduce AngularJS surface area, improve architecture, and lift performance and usability.
- Build impactful product: work on features like AI-powered meeting summaries, real-time collaboration, and workflow improvements.
- Improve quality: add meaningful unit/integration/E2E tests, strengthen observability (logging/metrics/traces), and prevent regressions.
- Operate what you build: debug production issues, participate in incident reviews, and keep CI/CD pipelines healthy.
- Collaborate closely: partner with engineers, QA, and product to refine scopes, break down work, and deliver iteratively.
Our Tech Stack
We value adaptability over buzzword bingo — but here’s what we use today:
- Frontend: Angular (TypeScript), legacy AngularJS, WebSockets
- Backend: Django, Django REST Framework, Language: Python
- Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Tooling: GitHub, Jira, Slack, and a pragmatic Scrum approach
You’d be a great fit for this role, if you:
- Have 4+ years of professional experience building full-stack web applications.
- Are comfortable in Python/Django and TypeScript/Angular (or similar modern SPA + web framework).
- Understand REST APIs, background jobs, SQL/data modeling, and can reason about performance and correctness.
- Can navigate and improve legacy code—structure, refactor, and pay down debt without over-engineering.
- Care about code quality, documentation, and maintainability, and you’re pragmatic about trade-offs.
- Communicate clearly in English and enjoy working in a cross-functional team. (Dutch is a plus.)
- Nice to have: experience with Kubernetes/Docker, Django REST Framework, WebSockets/real-time, or AI-assisted features.
