About The Role
The Product Manager leads the creation, execution, and delivery of a product strategy roadmap and key priorities, working under broad guidance. Responsibilities
- Understand and stay up to date with legislative and policy frameworks to shape and guide business strategy, product development, and product roadmaps.
- Define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), showcasing how it delivers value to users, aligns with business goals, and supports strategic objectives.
- Play a key role in driving strategic product initiatives, including leading ideation workshops, contributing to roadmap planning, and overseeing thorough documentation.
- Craft concept briefs and business cases to support and launch innovative new initiatives.
- Lead discovery sessions, ensuring that the Voice of the Consumer (VoC) is integral in prioritising and designing new features and product enhancements.
- Manage and maintain a dynamic Product Backlog, responsible for triaging, evaluating, and prioritising consumer requests based on business value and return on investment (ROI).
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the agency’s role and responsibilities within the broader Australian Public Service (APS) environment.
- Operate effectively within established legislative and policy frameworks, ensuring all initiatives remain compliant.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in product management in the software development field.
- Proven experience in developing product strategy and product roadmap.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, proven ability to establish relationships and lead discussions with various partners and executives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
