DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Kafka DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain high-performance Kafka clusters and supporting infrastructure across cloud environments. You will play a key role in enabling real-time data streaming, improving CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure deployments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security at every stage.

Your Missions

• Design, configure, and deploy Kafka clusters to support high-volume, real-time data streams across multiple environments.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Git, Pipelines).
• Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash (Python is a plus).
• Manage and automate infrastructure using Ansible.
• Perform Linux system administration and leverage Linux commands extensively.
• Deploy and manage applications and infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Implement, support, and troubleshoot Kafka-based messaging and streaming solutions.
• Create clear and detailed architecture and deployment diagrams for solutions.
• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Splunk.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve delivery processes and platform standards.
• Stay up to date with advancements in Kafka and DevOps best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, internals, and the broader ecosystem.
• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent applied experience (M.Sc. is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience with Kafka in large-scale, production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and Confluent Cloud.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (Repos, Git, Pipelines).
• Strong Bash scripting skills; Python experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Ansible and Linux system administration.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads in AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as GitHub, Nexus, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Splunk.
• Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud and DevOps security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
