Today we are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join our client in the canton of Fribourg.


Your responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions including SIEM, endpoint security, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and cloud-native security controls
  • Manage and administer identity and access management systems in collaboration with the infrastructure team: Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, and privileged access management
  • Monitor security events, analyze alerts, and perform incident triage, investigation, and response
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate remediation activities, and track security improvements across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Implement and maintain security baselines, hardening guidelines, and compliance controls (NIST, ISO 27001/42001, CIS Benchmarks)
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to secure Windows servers, network components, virtual environments, and workplace systems
  • Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, configuration standards, and incident reports
  • Perform root-cause analysis for security incidents and recommend long-term corrective actions
  • Research emerging threats, evaluate new security technologies, and propose improvements to strengthen the overall security posture
  • Provide security expertise and guidance to IT teams, projects, and end users
  • Maintain a secure environment according to frameworks such as Zero Trust and MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ensure compliance and security in cloud environments


Required profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT security engineering, operations, or infrastructure security
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management: Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, RBAC, and PAM
  • Experience with security technologies such as SIEM (e.g., Sentinel), EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and DLP
  • Good understanding of Windows server security, cloud security (Azure preferred), networking fundamentals, and endpoint security controls
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, CISSP, CEH, Security+, or similar are preferred
