PLEQ is building the analytics layer for physical space.

We help universities and public institutions understand how classrooms, meeting rooms, and shared spaces are actually used — in real time. Our platform combines live IoT sensor data, timetables, and AI-driven analytics to help decision-makers reduce waste, improve planning, and make campuses more human-centered and data-informed.

We’re already working with major institutions like VU Amsterdam, UvA, Waterschap, and others — and we’re just getting started.

Role Description

As a Front-End Developer Intern, you’ll work directly on the core dashboards and admin tools used by universities and government clients. You’ll ship real features, improve UI performance, and help shape how spatial analytics gets communicated visually. You’ll be involved in the full cycle — from rough figma designs and live feedback sessions, to pushing code and seeing users interact with your work in the wild.

What we're looking for

• You’re based in NL and available to work on-site (full or part-time) at VU Amsterdam at least two days a week

• Strong skills in modern frontend development: React, TypeScript, Next.js
• Comfortable with component libraries like Shadcn, Tailwind, or willing to learn fast
• Eye for detail when turning designs into responsive, user-friendly layouts
• Understanding of API integration, async data fetching, or basic backend principles
• A curious mind — excited to shape how physical spaces are understood through software
