Senior Backend-Focused Full-Stack Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Backend-Focused Full-Stack Engineer to join a fast-growing tech company building a highly scalable platform in a high-traffic, high-availability environment. This is a chance to work on complex backend systems, optimise performance at scale, and shape the architecture of a product that’s already validated and generating revenue.

You’ll be part of a small, senior team where autonomy and ownership are key. Expect to work across the full development lifecycle (design, build, deploy, and run) while influencing technical decisions that will define the company’s growth.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend services using modern technologies.
• Optimise PostgreSQL databases for large-scale data processing and high traffic environments.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features that drive growth and engagement.
• Make decisions around infrastructure, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to a culture of “you build it, you run it” with strong DevOps practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in backend development with strong full-stack capability.
• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native architecture.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including optimisation at scale.
• Bonus: Interest or experience in Web3/blockchain, payments, or high-traffic systems.
• Ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
