At MAC, we believe in the power of data to transform experiences—both in the gym and across our digital platforms. As a Data Scientist, you’ll be at the forefront of turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive growth, retention, and innovation.
You’ll work under the guidance of the Data & Analytics Manager and collaborate closely with the Product, Growth, and Engineering teams to develop predictive models, run experiments, and contribute to MAC’s data-driven strategy. You’ll also help bridge data science and growth by using event-level analytics and omni-channel engagement tools to turn insights into measurable impact across our app, web, and offline touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Build predictive models to support personalization, churn prevention, pricing, and campaign optimization efforts
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and other controlled experiments
- Explore large datasets to uncover patterns and opportunities for growth or efficiency
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure model deployment and integration into production systems
- Continuously evaluate and improve model performance using appropriate validation techniques
- Contribute to building a scalable and reusable data science toolkit within MAC
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a data science or a related field
- Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling
- Familiarity with recommendation systems, clustering, or time series forecasting
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.) and SQL
- Curiosity to explore emerging technologies such as generative AI, agentic AI, or LLMs
- Experience with experimentation and A/B testing
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Ability to communicate complex results in a clear, actionable way
- A strong product and growth mindset, with hands-on experience using GA4, event-based product analytics, and omni-channel marketing/engagement tools to translate insights into concrete experiments and actions
- Experience in digital product analytics or subscription-based businesses is a strong plus
- Fluent in English and Turkish
